I have to be honest .....  I was really disappointed with this film.  It brought back Linda Hamilton --who has been absent from the franchise since T-2.  It brought back James Cameron (at least being involved in the series again) and it brought back an older more out of shape Arnold.  Honestly watching this film made me really question whether Disney should do Indy 5 with Harrison Ford.     I don't mean to be mean --but bringing back Linda Hamilton seemed like a good idea on paper -but instead of the bad-ass I remember from T-2, I felt like I was watching someones grumpy old grandma going on adventures.  

Instead of following the events of the past Terminator (which I enjoyed) the series tries unsuccessfully to reboot itself yet again further damaging the brand.   It is like some weird attempt at doing a bad sequel to T-2.  It takes the franchise in another new direction where apparently John Connor has been killed by an Arnold Terminator after Skynet was stopped and yet further in the Timeline the robots still rise and now a new girl is the one that will lead the rebellion.    I didn't find myself liking any of the new characters that were introduced to the franchise.  The story seemed uninspired and unoriginal.   It was only watchable because there were some fun action sequences in the film.   As a Terminator fan I  would consider this film an unnecessary watch.  Box office wise this sixth installment was a disaster and may have permanently damaged a once thriving series.

Arnold Rises to fame as the Terminator (with a little help from James Cameron)

"Are you Sara Conners?"   Continuing Arnold week.  The Terminator....Arnold made his big leap to superstar status with  The Terminator films.     Uttering his robotic lines to perfection

The Terminator: The .45 long slide, with laser sighting. 

Or complicated dialogue like.....

The Terminator :   Get out.

He strutted around the movie as an unstoppable killer robot from the future. Sent back to prevent John Conner from being born..  Sure there are holes in the time Travel logic and many questions one could ask about the Time travel loop that doesn't make sense......but who cares the movie is kick-ass  Great sci-fi classic film that really launched his career.   This film would begin Arnold's  domination as the go to 1980's action star.   

T-2 Judgement Day  1991  10 out of 10


Arnold was back all right....and even more kick ass than before at the height of his fame....James Cameron really rolled out one of the best action movies of all-time with this sequel.   A leap in special effects with the liquid Terminator....This time Arnold was too popular to be a villian.  But he still kicked  ass.  With fun cheesy lines mixed into the non-stop action.

This should have been his last Terminator film....but they all do one film too many because of the payday....and T-3 was not as good.

This was Disney during its second Golden Age...Fresh off of Aladdin and Little Mermaid.....At this point I was going to see every Animated movie that came out of Disney because they were building such a great track record

James Cameron's best film.....About as good of an action flick as you can find.

Relentless action and cool special effects.
