Michael Keaton  as Jack in  "Mr Mom"

While out of a job and with his wife going back to work Jack must step up and try to be a stay at home Dad.  It is a bumpy road at first, but he eventually figures it all out.

Sean Connery as Henry Jones in "The Last Crusade"

He may not have always been the father that Indy wanted him to be,  but he and Indy still love each other.

Besides Indy turned out fine didn't he.

Steve Martin as George Banks in "Father of the Bride"

Overwhelmed by the fact that his little girl has grown up and is getting married Steve Martin tries to hold it together before her wedding.   Great movie and great Movie DAD.

Albert Brooks as Marlin in "Finding Nemo"

Okay so he is a fish, but that doesn't mean he is one of the best movie dads of all time.  This dad will do anything for his son conquering his fears in the process.

Chevy Chase as Clark W Griswald in "Vacation"

He may not do everything right, but all this dad wants is to give his family the best family vacation ever.   Even if that means strapping a dead aunt to the roof of the car and dropping her off at the cousin's house in the rain, so his family won't miss Wally World.

This is 40    2012    7 out of 10

This is 40 stars Paul Rudd and Leslie Mann reprising their supporting roles from the movie Knocked Up.  This time around Judd Apatow directs again this time focusing on the couple. 

  The movie does a good job of mixing  comedy with the sometimes tough reality of turning 40 years old.

Both of the characters are having a mid-life crisis at the same time while trying to juggle kids, family issues and money problems which leads to arguments both funny and somewhat serious.    Albert Brooks is great as Paul Rudd's characters dad that is always mooching off his son.    

The In-Laws 2003 7 out of 10

Michael Douglas is a secret agent and Albert Brooks is NOT.   Albert Brooks is in  typical Albert Brooks mood. He is a master of being  paranoid and plays it up as he  gets caught up in a bunch of espionage when his daughter is about to marry Michael Douglas's son.  This plot puts  Albert Brooks in many some great comic situations in this good remake.

I love Albert Brooks and this film is right up his alley allowing him some of his nervous rambling and rants.  

Plus throw in a performance by K.C. and the Sunshine band....good stuff.  

Looking for Comedy in the Muslim World 2006 7+ out of 10

Albert Brooks is a comedy idol of mine.  He is just genius.    That said this particular film was not my favorite of his films.—but he still shined in it.    The Premise has him heading over to India as part of a government program to learn what makes Muslims and Hindu's laugh.    The genius of Albert in this particular effort is the art of being funny while not being funny----An art he perfected on TV appearances on the Tonight show and other shows.  –He puts on a stand up show  in front of an audience that isn't laughing.    Such as his worst ventriloquist in the world bit---or his mangled attempts at  an audience participation improv.   Great stuff.   For his best work check out LOST in America ,    Mother ,  or   Defending Your Life.
