A Hitchcock style thriller. About a woman and her daughter that are flying home to America with the coffin of her husband. Mid flight her daughter vanishes and nobody admits she was ever on that plane. Is she Crazy? Jodie Foster does a great job of acting crazy, but the plot is just to fake and contrived to the point where I just can't except it. It bothered me that they tried so hard to intentionally lead you down certain paths of thinking. The dreamlike sequence at the beginning, her thinking she is being watched when they leave their house in Berlin, having to hide her daughter on the way out of the house and losing her briefly in the airport. Being the first to board the plane and nobody....I mean nobody remembering her daughter being on the plane. It was just completely unbelievable and my opinion of the movie suffers for that reason. It was just too contrived...too fake. Despite good acting this film gets a 4 out of 10 because I didn't buy the plot. Improbable is the word to describe this film that has more holes than a slice of Swiss Cheese.
